Camp Lazlo
Camp
Lazlo is the story of a camp full of animal characters, a
show produced for Cartoon Network that was nominated for an Emmy
award.
The main characters from Camp Lazlo are Lazlo,
Raj and Clam. Lazlo is a spider-monkey, Raj is an elephant and Clam
is a pigmy rhino.
July 8th 2005 was the air date of the first episode from Camp
Lazlo, initially once a week, and since 2006 every day from Monday
to Friday.
It’s humor is with a retro touch, and also has some easter egg
jokes, like the fact that the handbook is upside down every time
someone reads from it.
Among the awards that Camp Lazlo won were the Pulcinella Awards
for Best Animated Series for Children and the one for all ages. At
the Emmy’s Camp Lazlo lost in front of The Simpsons, but received a
nomination. It also got an Annie Award for production design.
No DVD has been released so far with Camp
Lazlo.
