Secret Squirrel

Secret Squirrel is a show produced between 1965 and 1992, with the main character popping into different series as guest after the series was over. It’s another Hanna-Barbera cartoon with 30 minute long episodes.

Making fun of the 007 movies so popular in that period, Secret Squirrel was a spy designated as agent 000. Secret Squirrel’s sidekick was Morocco Mole, with the evil character being Yellow Pinkie.

After the series was over, Secret Squirrel showed up as guest in different productions like Rattle and Roll, Wake, Yogi’s Gang, Harvey Birdman.

In 1993 the duo was redesigned and had quite a few differences from the original version. All the characters were animals in the series now, with the chief being a water buffalo now. One new character was Penny, an assistant in love with Secret Squirrel.

The first season aired between 1965 and 1966 (20 episodes), the second one in 1966-1967 (6 episodes) and the redesigned series in 1993-1994 (13 episodes).
